SIDEBURN ALBUM "EVIL OR DIVINE" - REVIEW

Kategori: 1-REVIEWS, DOOM METAL, HARD ROCK, STONER METAL

The first thing that struck me.
It can not be helped, but that's because the vocals is so damn good.
I get a flashback to that feeling i had when Deep Purple was spinning on the turntable.
Ian Gillan launches "Child In Time" so insidious and it just creeps into the body of one.
It's goose bumps because it's so damn good and you know what's around the corner.
No comparisons with Deep Purple in general but just that feeling came to me.
That's a damn good rating on the vocals!

The music is so beautiful melodic with a Nordic darkness in itself.
It is not White plains of snow.
For me it is.

Autumn
Dusk
Water glisten in the spruce needles
The moss is gently swaying underfoot
The mist rises slowly under the spruceforest protective roof
Birch stands naked
The leaves licking the wet ground

Sideburn takes me on a journey through this album.
A trip is never straight and it needs to be great to get the goal.
I enjoy the journey except a few small detours and can only warmly recommend this album.
