Under A Serpent Sun lies the city of Gothenburg.
At the Gates of the city guards no longer the great fighters of Death Metal.
The great who gave the city a place on the Metal world map.
All has not gone up In Flames, the big ones that still exist
is out in the world on their own adventures.
Leaving the legacy behind in Gothenburg.
The question is not who will take up the fallen flag, but who is to carry it on.

When we in the future look back on that question
it may well be answered by Prevail in Darkness.
Gothenburg metal scene has really taken hold of the legacy of the great heritage.
Many bands are fighting to carry the banner.
The premier for me right now in that fight is Prevail in Darkness and Red Bled The Sun.
They are closely followed (in no particular order) by Antione, The Resistance, Marionette, CHUGGER, Deals Death, Despite, Within Y, The Weakening and Ruined Soul.

As you probably already understand, I like this album a lot.
A little hard to put your finger on what it is.
All the songs concern you not in the soul as hard as the best on the album.
But there is something that appeals to me in the commitment.
It is noticeable that there has been a lot of practice and the production delivers good quality.

They have their own sound that tastes of both
the Old School of Swedish Death Metal as calm and melodic tones
as well as the "Gothenburg sound" of Melodic Death Metal.
No clean vocals, however, only grunt and growl,
but once you have reached a settlement with it,
you can not imagine to hear anything else from Prevail In Darkness.
